Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

I hope all of you and your congregations are doing well. The SC Bible Bowl Committee did meet on September 9, 2023. As of now we are planning to hold the SC Bible Bowl on February 17, 2024 at the St. Andrews Road Church of Christ in Columbia, SC.

There were several changes made by the committee this year. Below is an explanation of the changes and more important information for your congregation. Please see the attached rules also.

  1. The Book of Romans was chosen for the 2024 SC Bible Bowl.
  2. The “New King James Version” will be the only translation used for question preparation and study.
  3. Changes made are as follows:
    • This year all teams will study the book of Romans. Romans is also the book being used by Lad’s to Leaders in 2024.
    • The Adults Team age has been changed to (post high school and up to 64 years old).
    • The Senior Team (Super Seniors) age has been changed to (65 years old and up Only). Seniors may move down into the Adult Team.
  4. Important Dates:
    • The date for the SC Bible Bowl is set for February 17, 2024.
    • This year there is a Pre-Registration date again, it is December 15, 2023. If you plan to participate, your Registration Forms must be received by this date.
    • Your check to cover the team cost must be received by the Final Registration Date of February 9, 2024, but no money is due in December.
  5. Important Information:
    • The cost per team again is $30.00 for 2024.
    • The Final Decision to Hold or Cancel the SC Bible Bowl will be based on 3 Factors: 1) The number of Teams registered. 2) Level Virus or other health related issues in the State. 3) The conditions here at St. Andrews Road. The final decision will be made on January 3, 2024.
    • The elders of St. Andrews Rd will develop a plan to protect everyone. We will need everyone’s cooperation. Let us work together to keep each other safe.

We encourage everyone to use this opportunity to study and learn from God’s Word. Let us study and be united in our studies across the state.

We are looking at changing the date for the 2025 Bible Bowl. More information will follow on this possible change. Please take time to think and talk about this idea.
